in mid timing belt replacement - HELP!!! Q about timing belt pulley removal
got all the way to the big pulley with the 19mm 12 side bolt and those dman 4 6mm bolts-easy omney up to now. what is the best way to take off those 4 bolts? I have purchased the socketed hexes from kragen but they snapped on me so now i have a few questions:
1) i am using a breaker bar (just using a wrench or maybe even a ratchet with a long pipe attached to it to hold the 19mm bolt). I am assuming i have to keep this stable, right?
2) which 6mm socketed hex should i buy? i know ill likely have to make a trip to sears for some craftsman stuff but i also noticed that i may need an extension but then again its a little deep and not the right amount of force could be applied?!?!
3) what is the toqrue spec for the bolts once i am all done?
4) any other possible problem i may run into that the DIY doesnt explain?
5) so i get the tooling, how much time do i have remaining to finish up the job - so i can get a baselien of where i am.
Thanks, id like to wrap up this job tomorrow, sunday.

Dismantling and assembling engine Toothed belt drive > approx. 05.99
Note: Mark the direction of rotation with chalk or felt pen before removing the toothed belt. If the belt rotates in the wrong direction when it is refitted, this can cause breakage. 10 Nm 10 Nm 10 Nm 20 Nm Toothed belt guard - top â—†When installing, engage carefully in bottom toothed belt guard [/ul][/ul]
