Try going up a good grade at 120 MPH in atleast 105 heat (I did Baker and the thermometer read 126) running the AC you will find out what a warm oil temp is you can get a lot hotter on that gauge with no problems (watch your water temp if you run a grade though). 100 is enough to boil water not oil. I started to worry when I hit 140+-.

i have 140k miles, so that might have something to do with it...now that you mention it, it's possible that my secondary fan is out...it's possible that it's been out since i bought this car, because i don't remember ever hearing it engage now that i think about it....****, i hope it's not out...david, you've scared me now....do you think if it is bad i could get one of those universal electric fans and put it in myself?

sorry forgot to say thanx for the reply guys, that helps well my oil temperature usually sits at 100, but ive had times were the whole trip itll sit at like 70 is that bad, by the way this is celcius, im currently having problems with my coolant temperatue sensor apparantly (thats on another post though) do you think that might have something to do with it..
