My battery died in my 99 a4 1.8t the other night, so I tried to jump it and wouldnt stay running. I later tried to start with no jump and started up but was idling poorly. I scanned it and got the P1545 code, "Throttle position control malfunction". Now it will start and gradually get back to idling where it should, but will not let me push it past 1.5 rpm's. When it reaches 1.5 rpm, the engine drops down to almost nothing for a second then it will go back. I am unable to drive it, and I just dont know what could have went wrong from the dead battery. Now the radio doesnt work at all. I have checked fuses and tried unplugging the battery and letting the computer reset. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
