Default Push button start?

I was layin around and thinkin bout sh!!t..... what about a push start??? a buddy of mine said it'd be easy, just gotta get a tight push button that disengages when released sot the starter doesn't keep cranking.... thinking about running by a Dodge dealership and checkin how much a button for the new Viper costs.... or else running into a stock button to make it look GT instead of run by rice. What da think?

i dunno bout that, you could spend the money on a more performance oriented mod but its all up to you.

i dont' think it'll cost much though.... just a little playing during the weekend

I'm already getting some bilstein sport notched shocks all the way around.... ya a little 500 $ damage to the pocket.

fun stuff. i also just now see that youre a 96 2.8 12v. not many upgrades for that car, so the weekend fun stuff isnt a bad idea afterall! hopefully its not too hard to find a push start ignition system.

Not at all hard. Infact you can get an alarm kit that will allow you to start your car with the press of a button from mini keypad on your keyring. Very cool. Freaks people out at shopping centre's. LOL They are relatively well priced too.

Just make sure you don't park your car in gear.

Yeah, typically they won't install one of those on a manual at all. I had a friend who bypassed the clutch sensor to put a remote start on his car, and one morning forgot to leave the car out of gear. Put a nice bumper impression in the front wall of his garage...
