question on transmission control unit???
well my question since I took my car to the dealer and they told me that it need it to be replace,but the tiptronic wasn't working at all but yesterday it start to work all of the sudden so my question is if anybody has expirence this , but after I turn the car off and turn it back on it stop working. Do I still need to replace it or is there anything that could fix this problem so I dont have to spend all that much money to replace it anythng helps!

basically no you dont need to replace it there is obviously a communication fault with the tranny ECU and they should be able to communicate with it to find the fault code ( whats the best way for them = new tranny = lots of $$$$ ) have a none Audi dealer check for fault codes or buy VAG.com

well i found that if i moved slowly the stick to the side of the tiptronic the gears work, i don't think i have to replace the tcu since it's working there must be something going on in there. sometimes still flash but sometimes looks normal, and i already got the diagnosis from a different autoshop other than the dealer and still say that there is a communication problem with the tcu
