I currently own an '06 sedan and I'm considering an avant in the future. I'm wondering if the rear seat room is identical for both?Wehave a6 month oldand because of my height the rear seat is so tight, that I can't get a child seat in behind me. Not too much of a problem since we put the seat on the passenger side, but it means that I'm the only one who can drive if we're all in the car together.

 

you could always just switch what side the baby is on so its always behind wherever your wife is. But you can't like when your wife drives? can you?
i hate being passenger of my car when my girlfrend is driving, she rides the clutch and shifts hard.
i think they are identical, i cant really imagine my back seat being any smaller in my avant, so if they are different i would assume the sedan is bigger. (trying to utilize as much cargo space in avant as possible)

I dont have kids, but I can say that moving a baby car seat around even infrequentlycan be a pita depending on what kind it is. Parents want to put the seat in, lock n load it and not have to worry about it again.

 

Switching the seat back and forth would be a real pain. Especially if it's cold and/or raining out.
