Just come across this forum in the hope I could obtain some advice on the following:

I've seen an A4 avant s-line tdi multitronic on a popular auction site:

Seems a reasonable price & with a not bad mileage it would seem a reasonable buy. In the description the current owner mentions: Sometimes makes a noise under low revs on cold start (doesn't affect drive at all). When I asked him further about it he said: The noise has been there about 4 months but I have no idea, I've brought it to a few garages and as it still drives normally no one knows, I had the engine mounts and gearbox mounts changed as they thought it was that but didn't solve it. Been told it could also be the flywheel but it's all guessing.

Any thoughts anyone on what this might be? Too much risk involved with the purchase or worth a punt?
