Transmission Software Update
I just brought my 2007 A4 Avant in for its first service, and I complained about the transmission being slow from a stop, and jerking into gear when cold. The rep told me there is a software update for this model transmission (automatic).
Dug around here and couldn't find any details. Does anyone know anything about this? Has anyone had the update and does it help?

RE: Transmission Software Update
never heard of that. the only one that i have heard of is the tip flash from GIAC but that is only for B5s, you have a B7.
I guess the first question is do you have a TIP or a CVT? the CVT is spost to have a much slower "shift" then the TIP, it's not really a shift tho, it's just a shift point since it doesn't really have gears. it's alot like a snowmobile, no gears it adjusts itself the whole way through.

Classicly, I don't know and the guy at the dealership kept asking and didn't know either.
But I have an automatic with TipTronic and it's a 2.0 Quattro wagon. Since I have six gears in the automatic, doesn't that mean it can't be a CVT?
