From what I've heard, if you have a freer flowing intake and a Forge 007 or comprable DV, it sounds slightly louder.

I didn't notice a difference between my stock diverter valve and my Forge oo7 but it holds boost better.

it just wont leak. your car will only be faster if the one you have now is leaking and not holding boost

It goes beyond slightly louder, most people will think that you have a vent to atmosphere valve.

As for a difference in performance, if the diaphragm in your stock valve has failed you will notice a difference in spool and potentially peak power. Even if the stock valve hasn't failed replacing it with a valve with a higher spring rate may net you some improvement in either or both of the ways that I've just mentioned, especially in situations when you are transitioning between low and high load conditions.

And when you guys say that there was no difference between stock and the Forge but the Forge holds boost better, what exactly do you mean by that?

How do you know if your stock DV is bad and not holding boost?

It should feel like your car is a lot slower than it was but to confirm it's your diverter valve you should hook up a boost gauge and see if it drops off when your on the gas.
