Excessive oil consumption
Hi,
I recently bought an A5 Quattro 2.0TFSI year 2009, from a dealer (Non-Audi), the mileage was 60k on the clock. The dealer where I bought it from is a well know Audi Specialist in the area. However after 3 days of driving, the car requested for topping up oil. I informed the dealer straightaway about the issue. The asked me to monitor the usage of the oil and it was 1ltr every 430 miles. However they were not very prompt to tackle the issue. I was asked to bring the car in several times for them to do oil consumption test. I was then asked to drop the car in a branch of Audi for them to do a controlled consumption test.
Audi then came back to me and told me that the car was doing 2.55 litres per 1000km and required piston replacement as per TPI.
Audi says they not willing to repair the car for free, now i spent a lot of money on that and not been able to drive the car properly. It has now been 4months and I am not sure what else to do. The reason i went for an Audi is that everyone told me they are reliable cars. If it is a bad batch from Audi and they are aware of the issue, they should really carry out repair!
Any help advice would be much appreciated.
