I dont know if anyone else if having this problem but I have been suffering from horrible wheel vibrations in my 09 s5. The dealer keeps telling me its my wheels are out of balance. But as I have put my winter wheels on balanced and all I still have the same effects... Is it the dynamic system?

 

I have an A5 S-Line and have a vibration or shimmy at high speeds - above 65 mph. I've had the wheels rebalanced and the suspension checked by my dealer. The shimmy went away but came back the next day following the left front wheel rebalance. I suspect something in the suspension is not quite up to par. Let me know if you figure it out.

 

Just got back from the dealer again dealing with the shimmy/vibration in the front end coming thru the steering at high speed (relatively speaking). The dealer's next step was to conduct a "Road Force Balance" of the wheels/tires. I suppose that is different than a regular balance. They found that 2 of the 4 tires (Pirelli P-Zero Rosso) were out of tolerance and have ordered 2 new tires. Both tires were on the right side (passenger) of the car. Currently waiting for them to contact me with the new ones to have them installed. We'll see what happens next. Cheers.

 

what was the out come of the new tires did it fix the problem or did they have to replace your lower control arms?
