'03 A6 with a few issues.....
Hi,
I have a 2003 A6 4.2 175K, throwing codes P0441 & P3081.
The temp gauge never reflects the actual temperature. I'm assuming that the P3081 has to do with that. Do you know which sensor I'd have to replace? I believe there's 2 on this car. Torque app says the vehicle is reaching the proper temps at a normal time frame.
Car runs good except for 2 things. I don't know if it's related to the P0441 code or not. The evap purge valve clicks about 5 minutes after the car is started, so I assume it's OK. When I took it off, I could NOT blow through it....
First, it sometimes starts real hard, but always starts by the second try.
Second, it "feels" a little rough at idle, and I can hear a noise from the rear of the engine that sounds like a "chugga, chugga, chugga" The noise doesn't sound like a rattle or metal to metal.. It definitely has a rhythm to it. It almost sounds like air???? Hard to explain, I guess.... I put my ear to a screwdriver and it appears to be coming from the throttle valve control unit.....?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!
THANKS!
