Hi guys, I'm new to the Audi world; just bought my first one recently, an '04 A6 Quattro 3.0L and I bought it with a "bad fuel pump". After some digging, I found the pump was fine just was getting no power so I traced it back and the relay was good, fuse was good, but am getting no spark and pulling a P600 code but nothing else. I pulled the ECU and the connections look like brand new; dry and clean. I spoke to some dealerships and the signs point to a reprogramming of the ECU. I know nothing of that area, but a buddy has a scan tool (OTC Genesis) that does this sort of thing and he says he needs some codes to get into it. Can anyone help with this? As I said I'm green with this stuff so please bear with me but I'm hoping someone can give me a hand instead of hauling it 120 miles to a dealer and spending $300 to have it flashed. Thanks alot!

P0600 code means that ECU is not talking to the scan tool. Could be a bad connection, no power to the ECU or the diagnostic port, or a bad ECU. A wiring diagram for your car would help you trace the problem.
