My 2004 a6 Quattro suddenly has no heat or air. After applying a generous amount of Vaseline to my posterior, I drove over to the dealership to get them to diagnose the problem. They came back saying that the part (#4B0-820-043-AR-5PR DISP. UNIT) would have to be ordered from Europe and would take 5-7 days and would cost me $1950. installed. My display unit appears to be working just fine. I just get no response from my heat/A/C control panel.
As much as I like my Quattro, it simply is not worth putting two grand in to. Since I have no great amount of confidence in the dealer, I thought that I would toss it out here on the forum to see if anyone had any thoughts.
As always, any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.
