06 A6 Suspension Options
Hey folks,
It has been a while since I have been in the forums. I will be getting a new 2006 A6 to replace my 2001 A6 which needs the cat replaced, and I am just over it, as I can't get it smogged in CA..maybe I can sell it for 3k orsomething. On my O1 I had the complete Eibach setup with Springs and Dampers, which finally settled out pretty low. I uploaded a pic to show you. It basically was a little too low for my liking.
So for the 06 (Stock Non-Sport Suspension) I had these options
1. Eibach Springs - I heard it has a slight slag which would annoy the living daylights out of me. In addition the car has 106k miles on it so...yeah. But it is cheap.
2. H&R Coil Over Kit. it only lowers the car 1 - 2.2 inches so I might be able to get a better stance without going to aggressive. but it will cost probably 700 more.
3. ST Performance Coilover Kit. It is about 250.00 cheaper from ECSTuning but has a more aggressive lowering. Not sure if I need all of that, but it would save me a few bucks.
That said everything will sit on 18" wheels, as 19 is a bit too much for my taste. What do you guys think?
If anyone news a good Audi Tuner in Southern Cali that would help also.
