1998 Audi A6 2.4 ABS problem,plus loads of others
Hi all,
Ok where should i start.Recently bought an audi a6 2.4 ,didn't really view or test drive the car and relied on sellers description(said it has abs light on) and got it delivered by the seller.Upon delivery again didn't check anything to be honest.Next day thought to inspect it thoroughly;switched an engine on and dash lit like a xmas tree, all braking system lights on and airbag one.Ok,opened the bonnet and noticed the abs connect is not plugged in.Plugged it back, turned the engine on same lights but in addition to that rev and speedo needles stay dead.
Can anyone say how deep in .... I am?
Thanks

Ok, before anyone opens a can of whoop-@$$, lets get started on where you can start
Get your hands ASAP on a Vagcom code scanner, rent beg borrow steal, get one and figure out what codes its throwing. Post back and we can start sorting out an action plan
Does the engine turn over and idle ok?
From there you can figure out how much of a deep mess you are in.
Sure as heck hope you didn't pay much for this thing....

Engine starts fine, think there is problem with starter as on turnover of the key there is a sound(seems from the started) ,once you turn key anticlockwise tiny bit it stop and engine runs smooth. Also forgot to mention it needed new battery,so fitted one.Erm... radio and cd changer not working but its least of my worries. Will try to find a vag scanner but may take some time till i get cash if i'll need to rent one.
