Default 2001 a6 2.7T mods

I currently have

APR bipipe,
evo V-intake,
APR Snub Mount,
APR 93 oc chip,
Forge Diverter Valves

I am going to get downpipes and cat back in the next month.... Before I do that mod I was wondering if I can do anything to get more horsepower to the wheels before thatupgrade. I am looking to spend around 1k - 1.5k. Thanks for the help!

Well, the one thing I thought of instantly was Ko4's... Just kidding, but Diverter Valves would not be such a bad idea. I assume your running stock dv's, but I felt a difference when I upgraded to 710n. My stock Dv's were shot though . FormulaGigi posted about "Need to Search", but they were seals on the cilenders and showed some graphs with a few gains in torque and hp.

Lol, I'm kidding with you, but honestly I don't think your going to find anything. The only real option is switch programs to the GIAC x-chip. Evidently it boosts to about 20 psi (a lot for Ko3's) but if you going stage 3 why not blow the turbos haha . Sorry though I really do not think there any real options...

I know!! Only current options really are TBB, A.W.E. S-Flo, or fuel injector kit (which would prob kill the tranny), ... None of those are power parts other than the one that would kill my tranny and give me 180 miles per tank.

I am trying to hold off a little on the Vast Tip Chip because of the delay in sending in your ECU... Aswell I am putting parts in next Thurs so I am trying to get parts... Very sorry but thanks for the post def need that! It will protect the tranny. Does it reduce any time on 0-60? ect.

Well I remember telling you to save your money to get a stage 3 kit instead of what you currently have and planing to get. So my answer againg save your $$$ for a stage 3 kit.
You already spend around 1500 on just parts and you are going to spend 1.5k more that's 3k just in parts. And you are asking for more mods to put more power down. You see, you are a stage 3 user.

There are two mods that you will feel the difference in power: the $599 ecu reflash and the $5.5k stage 3 kit. Very hard to notice any difference at all on all the other mods power wise.

Well said ^

wammy the tip chip reduces shifting time so you should notice a diffrence in 0-60 because less time where the engine is not powering the car (between shifts). Also I hear that you can rev slightly higher to extend to power curve.

Get VAST Piggies ($350) not Brand names DPs and custom exhaust for a few 100s$(cheaper than APR or miltek). Thesewill take you to stage2+ and give you more in top and mid range.
NewSouth Powergaskets ($70+labor)
VAST Tip Chip $350 (have it done at the same time as piggies to save time. I can definitely feel the difference and that's just with the stage 2 file. I am installing their Stg3 tip chip sometime ths week, got it in the mail this week.
Replace APR with GIAC 1.3 X if you don't care abot longevity of Turbos since you're gong to KO4s later anyway, and are ok with more aggressive behavior/driving experience. or get the VAST chip, t2.7Ts with their chiphave some of the fastest 1/4miles

Get lighter brakes and wheels but small diff.
