Default 2008 A6 Quattro

Hello all I really have no exp. with European cars but I am in a little over my head with my current car loan. I plan on paying the extra i owe and trading it in for hopefully a reliable AWD car. Now the car i am looking at is an 08 A6 with about 30,000 miles on it. 1 owner. Are these cars money pits if they have been taken care of?? I am not looking for a car that is going to be a money pit especially after me having to spend a few grand to not be upside down on my current loan. It looks like this car was well cared for. Give me your input!

I have owned lots of high mileage German cars (note I separate these from other European cars, I wouldn't buy French or Italian) and have never experienced any major issues. Make sure you get to see the service records of the car and make sure they have all been done properly. I currently own an 08 A6 with 65,000 miles and it never had any significant issues, it still drives like a new car. Yours is extremely low miles so do all the necessary due diligence to make sure its title is clear and it hasn't had a replacement odometer etc. This car will last you for years. Also you don't necessarily need to take it to Audi main dealers for a service but find a specialist who knows what he is doing.

Just looked at your car on line, looks very nice, absolutely useless autocheck though. No service records indicated. This is very common and my advice is to call your local audi service center and give them the VIN to see what service records they can see. Audi dealers aren't able to see everything but they can usually tell you if it ever had any recall work or warranty work done. They may be able to tell you how many times it has been to a service center but they wont release records until you can prove you own the vehicle. This is a frustrating situation I have just been through twice buying 2 Audis of the same era 07-08.
