Default 4.2 v 3.2 fuel consumption

Does anyone have any real world data on this? Some reviews indicate it to be as high as 16L/100km and others say that it can be as low as 11L/100 km (on the 4.2). Does anyone have real data on both these models?

on my 03 4.2, i average about 18-20 mpg (13-14L/100km). that's mixed city and highway driving.

I've recently been looking at the 4.2 realizing how much more hp in comparison to the 3.2.
I'd be interested in knowing if any 4.2 owners regret having purchased the more powerful car, in lieu of saving on fuel ?

My 05 4.2 has provided 4 years of driving pleasure and is still going strong.
