98 A6 trans problem
Hard shifting trans. My mechanic suggested changing fluid and adding An additive.
In the past I have used oil change places to service my trans fluid but the Audi is more of
A project then they would take on.
Inspecting the trans myself I could not figure out how to check level or add fluid
Exploring on line I found someone who had luck adding fluid thru the cooling line
At the radiator. I decided to add a small amount of Lucas Transmission Fix thru the
Cooling line but the only way I could feed the fluid was with a small amount of
Air pressure. After adding a few ounces the car would not start. Thinking I had overfilled
The trans I drained an equal amount out but it still would still not start. The car cranks normally
But will not start. My question is did the added fluid cause the car not to start or is it a coinsidince.
We did not have any problem with starting prior to this.
