also under the front passenger seat there is a yelow female plug with 2 pins that i can't find the male for it, and then under the rear bench another yelow plug, smaller also female 2 pins, no male for it. If need it can atache some pics.

Have you heard about having the module reset or rebuilt. I heard from a friend that these dudes in ATL do it fast and cheap...I haven't done it yet...am thinking about it...$49 dollars!?!? Good as new?!?!

I think the problem might be that the module will reflect the vehicle code of the vehicle it was pulled from. Not totally sure, but when you pull the good module from a different good car then the module is good, but, if that module is not "set" to your car then you'll still have all sorts of crazy codes...kind of like a street address...when you move, it's still your house, but it's a different address...same here...I think...does anyone else have experience with this problem...do you still have the "crashed" original module?

Default If airbag module new...but not from vehicle...

Hey...I think the answer is..."and you won't like it" that you need to get the new 'non-crashed' module reset by Audi....and only Audi... they're going to charge you and arm and a leg to set your module to the right vehicle address (i.e. VIN and all that other crazy tech address stuff)

If you can get the "crashed" module back that would be BEST and then you'd probably want to check out a reputable airbag module reset place...reputable meaning...someone with over 15,000 happy customers and over 6 years of published business...

BUT... vagcom might work...please tell me how that goes!!!!!

Glad you go it working. the extra yellow wires you found were probably for the optional side curtain airbags that your car probably doesn't have. My 00 only has side torso bags (front seats) and no airbags in the the rear. I also have a yellow airbag plug under my rear seat. I assume for the optional rear side curtain/torso bags.

so all they did was recode the new (used) airbag module and all the codes went away? you didnt have to replace the Seat Belt Tensioner Igniter?
