Hi AF members. I'm back again for your help.
Sunroof is stuck in open position. It doesn't close when turning the ****, but closes to 3/4 open position only when the pushing the tilt close.
1st thought was possibly bad contact in the switch. Removed & opened the switch. Contacts appear good. Cleaned w/ q-tip & alcohol anyway. No change.

So questions:
1. Is there a manual override so I can crank window closed? Where & how? Couldn't find info in my Bentley.
2. Anyone know if this is a common problem with the center control switch, where it goes bad like this?

 

OK. Found the crank tool behind the driver's side fuse panel. Removed cover on sunroof switch panel & cranked sunroof closed. Will reassemble to test switch again.

 

Sunroof working again. Cleaned the contacts after managing to open the 4 clip-locked plastic housing & did very minor tweak to bend contact out further. Assembled switch in the off position & reinstalled. Works good as new...for now. I included some basic pics on the motor crank key as I didn't find any before.

 

What has the 4 clip housing, the motor or the switch?

 

Thanks for posting this, i didnt even know you could manually crank it shut, ill be sure to share this info along if anyone ever asks.

 

I had read about the manual crank but did not know where it was stashed. I'll have to check my fuse panel and make sure it is still there.
