Need help locating a steering column pod for my 01' A6. I've seen a lot of them out there for the A4 and S4. Does any one know if theone for the S4 will fit?
If not, does someone know where I can find one without the gauge pod? I have the a-pilliar right now but I want to change where it's at.
Any ideas?

 

I don't know about the column pod but get that damn thing off of the A pillar or your gonna eat it when the air bag goes off. [sm=icon_beat.gif]

 

noone makes anything that directly fits...ive searched...only solution ive come up with is while replacing my radio....im bought a din sized gauge pod...

 

That is not true. There is a direct fit gauge pod that goes over the steering column. I do not recall the brand at the moment but I can find out for you. It looks real clean, and the place even sells it as a kit for $200 with gauges that match factory, installation instructions, everything. I'll find it for you while I'm bored at work today. =o)

 

there are tons of a6 owners looking for that...and noone has been able to find one...so make sure its not for an a4 or s4....id love to see it

 

They do make the sterring wheel colum. I have seen it at Ecs tuning I think. But again 200 bucks is a lot but it looks clean.

 

well i talked to them two weeks ago...and as of then..they had nothing to offer for the a6...so if u guys have seen this..id love to know where...if its out there...the company is hiding it very well

 

I don't see why they don't make one for the A6. If you have one for the S4, why not the A6.
I'm going to be ordering the S4 one to see if that works. If it does, it'll be a benefit for all of us!!

ive talked to apr, awe, and ecs and they all say the same thing..theres no practical and foolproof way to install a gauge in the a6...i think its more they dont want to be responsible if something were to happen...im gonna run a boost gauge....ordered a din panel and putting it under my new radio....

 

Does any one have a picture of whattheDIN panelwould look like when its installed? I need to get some type of idea. I hate people looking at my gauges and always wanting to race, rather have that sleeper look : )
