A6 won't turn over without quick jumpstart
2008 A6 Quattro
Driven it for a couple years with no problems. Recently, I turn the key, get some flickering lights and clicking.
A 5 second jump with a portable handheld charger and the car starts.
Thought about changing the battery, but it tests as good.
The problem was intermittent (once every 2-3 weeks for the past 2 months).
The last two days I've had to jump it each time to get it to turn over. Once I do, it runs fine, all lights and display work, but, if I stop at a store on the way home, I have to jump it again.
What's the issue? It must be the MMI, right?
Thank goodness I purchased my little Brightech charger! Works like a charm.
Thanks,
Dann
