AC Blows Hot Air on Sides, Cold in Center

Unless you have a 2008 I do not understand your dealer claiming that the TSB does not apply to your VIN. As you can see from the portion of the TSB that I pasted in below it appplies to every 2005, 2006 and 2007 A6. I think your dealer is screwing around. If you post your e-mail I will send you a PDF of the full TSB.
Model(s) Year VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment
A6 2005 – 2007 All
A6 2008 000001 – 097314

Hi, first post, but probably not the last
Excuse my english, btw, im norwegian....
I have the excact same problem, and i have changed the pump-valve unit with the new version "B". We also flushed the cooling system.
This didn't fix the problem, and it is now permanent, nothing i do will stop it from heating, espacially on the right side.
I did a bit of checking with my VAG-COM, and the left temp. sensor (G150) responds to adjustment on the climate panel, but the right one (G151) always have the same tepmerature as the coolant.
When i measure the valve itself however, both valves (N175 & N176) opens and closes as expected.
Then the question is: Is the measuring on the valves (N175 & N176) just theoretic? So all that it means is that the signal is sendt, but not neccessearly received by the valves?
It seems like that to me, so my guess is a connection break somewhere, could this be correct?

Thanks, but as mensioned, i have already done everything in that TSB....
The pump valve unit is brand new, cables and temp sensor (G17) is checked and found OK.
So what i am left with is this:
Pump-valve unit is OK
Cables from clima control unit to pump valve unit is OK
Temp sensor G17 is OK
Measuring blocks via VAG-COM tells me that both valves in the pump valve unit (N175& N176) is opening and closing as normal
Visual check on 2 different pump valve units tells me that only N175 is moving, N176 is stuck open
Does this mean that is HAVE to be the climate control unit that's faulty?
Could it be anything else?

Does my car still need to be under warranty in order for a dealer to honor the TSB? My car has this problem but only when it is 90+ degrees outside and the engine is hot. If I pull over, stop and start the car, it goes away temporarily. What a piece of garbage.

fix
Hey Kevin/Hey Everyone...
thanks to all for the valuable information. MY A6 2005 4.2 just started with this issues today. Has anyone had to pay to get it repaired? Was it expensive?
How soon would you say it needs to be fixed? Could this issue cause any serious damages?
thx

who covers the repair?
I have the same problem in my 2005 A6 and went to the dealer and thet told me that I needed to pay 196 dollars only for the inspection and that I had to pay te repair as well. That the service bulletins are only for reference. Is this true or should I find another dealer?
