bank 2 sensor 2 and bank 1 sensor 1 location
Hello all,
I found out my 2000 audi a6 needs the bank 2 sensor 2 and bank 1 sensor 1 o2 replaced. Fair enough, but can someone tell me where and what side each of these is on so I can buy the parts correctly? I have an emissions test coming up and it will not pass, also this car is going through gas like its free.
Thanks,
Marc

Bank 1 is on the left. Bank 2 is on the right.
Sensor 1 is just before the cat, sensor 2 just after/on top of the cat.
Have fun getting there
This is the cat on my 3.0.
I took the head off for you tonight just to take a better picture.
I hope you appreciate it! Shewww I hope I can put it back together!

What would be the best way to replace the B1S1 without removing the header. I can't even see the sensor, i only see the post cat sensor. Thanks for your help

Shinizzle!!!
That one is a bear to get to you can see it there the one aimed at the trany.
Can you see it or touch it from under the car?
I would try to feed a O2 Socket on a wicked long extension with a universal attached as needed down from the top and loop it on there.
Let the car cool completely and shoot that sucker with liquid wrench and let it soak in before attempting anything.
If that doesn't work you need to disconnect the cat and pull it back.
