Tell me about the 2002 Audi.
Hey guys.. Im new here. I am looking for a used Audi in my area. I have so far found two. One is a black 3.0 Automatic. And the other is a Silver 2.7 Turbo Manual.
I am having trouble deciding. I want a manual because of the fun of driving, but its used and i dont want to have to replace a clutch from the previous owners grinding.
I feel that its easier driving Automatic and i wont have the pain of thinking that my clutch is going to start slipping.
Is there any faults with the 2002 Modles?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Don't settle. Get the one you want, or you'll be kicking yourself for it. I wanted a 2.7T manual, and got the 3.0 auto because of a good deal.
Moral of the story: I should have waited until I could find a 2.7T.
The 3.0 is smooth, and not too slow, but there's NO mods for it, I don't know if you want to mod, but sooner or later everyone gets the modding bug.
Everyone I hear about who has a 2.7T loves it BTW.

I would definately get whatever you like better, no matter how long it takes to find the perfect car.
I looked for 2 months to find a Silver/Black/Dk. Blue 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro Manual, under 60k miles for around $15k to $18k. Now that I have mine in silver, I couldn't be happier. I almost bought an S4 with 78k miles, auto, but decided that I really wanted to drive a stick more than an auto.

Oh yeah, forgot about PES, but you'd have to get 3.0 with quattro. I have CVT so a blower will kill my tranny.[sm=smiley35.gif]

The one im looking at is a 3.0L four wheel drive A6. IS the PES a kit to make it faster?
What do you mean by no mods.. I am looking to eventually put on a body kit, spoiler, rims. For exterior.. Then Headers/exhaust. and intake (filter-- Cold air?) and then interior. I am buying it used to i can mess around with it and make it look great!
Is that a good idea?

CVT is continuously variable transmission. It basically uses two belts riding on pulleys to drive the wheels. It's only used in the FWD 3.0. It uses no shift points, just computer controlled simulated "gears." The problem is: it can only take up to 230hp. With the 3.0 being at 220hp, you only have 10hp to work with. But with quattro, you won't have to worry about that. On the other hand, if you want headers, intake, and exhaust there's not many aftermarket parts out there for the 3.0 (there are for the 2.7T). Rims and suspension are out there, however.
And the PES is a supercharger kit.

Your saying that there arn't any aftermarket exhaust kits for the A6?? It seems like im buying the wrong car to install mods on. How much does the PES go for?
As for exhaust.. i guess if nobody had made one (yet) then it must have enough power that nobody needs an exhaust for it? just an intake or PES
