Chugging 07 Audi A6 2.0 TDI
Hi all,
Please help.
I have a 2007 A6 that is chugging when between 1900 & 2300 rpm, roughly. The chugging seems to be getting worse, it use to be intermittent but is now becoming more consistent.
There is no engine management light, no faults showing on the computer. The fuel is fine. It runs fine when idle. It has recently (6 or so moths ago) had the timing belt changed and a new water pump put in too.
The are a lot of miles on it 136k.
If I drive it harder the chugging stops but feels like it's down on power. The whine of the turbo does start when higher up the revs.
Can anyone offer up any ideas as to what the cause of this could be??
Any help would be much appreciated.
P.S. I'm a mechanical noob, I've changed the brake pads on the car but that would be extent of my mechanical ability.
Please help.
