Crack in the middle of LOWER oil pan / sway bar blocking bolts
I drove through a construction zone and now have a 2 inch crack in the center oil lower oil pan. Job looks fairly easy but I've read you need a engine hoist but that's for removal of both upper and lower pans?? Also the sway bar is blocking the rear bolts in order to remove lower pan. Need a few tips in order to do it myself and get the Audi back on the road.

Shouldn't need engine hoist to change oil pan. We've changed oil pan gasket on 2000 A6 2.7 pretty easily. If sway bar is blocking bolt access, you can remove sway bar/frame mounts to get access.
2 a/c lines cover rear group of oil pan bolts on our A6. If same with yours, you can loosen hose in flex wire support on passenger side to get enough play in the line to get a socket onto bolts.
