Recently changed the battery. Is there a chance this might be causing part of the problem?

Possibly but I would start with clearing the codes and see what returns. The secondary air pump could be anything from a bad pump motor to a broken vacum line or the supply line going from the pump to the combi valves could be bad.

the oxygen sensor is pretty self explanatory if it comes back as is the catylist if it returns.

I really appreciate it! I cleaned out the codes and will take her for a drive soon and give her another check. Still getting the ABS intermittent/no signal and recently replaced the pump unit. Is there a common electrical problem along with the pump issues?

If the sensor errors return I assume I need to change the converters and oxygen sensors, correct? I am not well versed in this car repair stuff at this juncture.

Thanks A Million Again,

Eric

In my 2000 A6 4.2L V8 ART I had a similar secondary air pump problem. try opening the hood and looking on the passenger side of the car near your air filter for a hose that comes from the secondary air pump on the bottom of the car. Use a flashlight and follow every hose you can find in that area to see if any of them have rotted through like mine did.
