Few engine questions
Just bought a 02 A6 quattro 3.0L for my wife to daily.
Few things I want to clarify. the CEL tells me bad or loose Cam position censor.
From what Ive read all 4 are on the back of the head. And that it may not even be them it could be the timing belt being loose.
Other then the light the only way you can tell something is wrong is most times it takes 4 to 5 seconds longer then it should to crank. And everyone 5 or so starts of the car the engine has no power what so ever and takes forever to even get to 20 mph.
I have also noticed when it does the latter being down on power the gear selector lights on the dash all light up instead of just the gear your in.
Based on that what do you gurus think?
