Default front rotor size 288 or 312?

2000 A6 avant quattro 2.8L

Need to order rotors...feeling lazy about taking off the wheel to measure, anyone know for sure what rotor size i have? i thought i heard the avant having the bigger rotor but i don't know.

My 01 2.8 Avant was 312. Ecstuning has schwaben slotted rotors for $87/pair right now. Can't beat that.

good call...and free shipping, hope they're the 312's then, i better check though.

how do you feel about the pad sensors? one of mine broke on the chassis side...think it's worth replacing the connector? do you just short the wires together if you want to override the sensor?

Dude, if you're going through the trouble of swapping rotors, just do the pads also. Forget shorting wires. Blauparts has the whole shebang for $170 to $172 depending on your size. I've ordered two kits from them already and love them. $30 to ship and it's here in 2 or 3 days.
