Fuel Additive for 2000 2.7T
Nothing major here. Its a North Dakota car so its always cold up here. Whenever I start up the car (which in case your wondering turns right over after setting outside 24 hours in -20 degree weather) and begin to drive it will cut out a little bit through first gear (6M) then once I get to second its fine and is good from there on out. If I let the car warm up for a couple minutes it runs flawlessly from the beginning. I am wondering if this is just a cold thing or if maybe its something with the injectors maybe some gunk?
Anywho any advice for any fuel additives that have been used and have no adverse affects on the 2.7T?
Thanks

Completely normal behavior, I'd suggest. Let it idle for 2-3 min at this temp.
I doubt there is injector issues involved.
Proven cleaners are:
Lubro Moly, Techtron, WD40, Seafoam or my house blend: naphtha, mineral spirits, kerosene (one could add acetone and xylene for top performance).
Pay attention that the concentration plays the major role here.

Fuel still has to be vaporized and that's more difficult at real cold temperatures. I agree with letting it warm up for 2-3 minutes, esp to ensure you have good oil flow to the turbos. I bet the shifter feels like it's moving in molasses at that temperature!
Question: Do you have the same problem at normal temperatures? If not, I'd attribute it to the intense cold.
I've had mine in overnight temps of -8o and could feel her pain as she started the next morning. But after a few miles of slow driving, she was back to normal.

No its just during cold temperatures. It starts amazing but that first time in first gear it lacks the power until you shift to second and then it goes away. But this is only in real cold temps like below -10.
