Grinding noise
My 2001 Audi A6 was riding smoothly until I rode in it this morning and now I feel and hear a grinding noise from the wheels as if something is juggling down there. I went under the car and looked at the control arms and felt around but I couldnt find anything and the wheels seem perfectly fine too in which I got new tires 2 months ago. Its at 176354 miles and Im trying to preserve it as long as I can haha. Any idea on what this might be?? Thanks in advance

ohhh shitttt! I have heard this! It sounds like a crazy metal grinding sound from under your car?? Maybe it could be dust or something but I had the same thing happen when I pulled out of a friends drive way. It went away after like a mile?!!?

Grinding Sound
Hi,
When was the last time you checked the wear on your brakes? If you've worn the pads down completely, the sound you hear might be the backing plate that the pads attach to rubbing on your brake rotor.
Then again, if the sound is not so much a "grinding" but more of a "roaring" sound, it could be a dry wheel bearing. Either way, you'll need to take of the wheels to check them.
