Issue with speakers not playing on the entire right side when using tape deck?
Hi everyone, new to the forums.
Just recently all of the speakers on the right side of the car abruptly stopped working when using the tape deck with my iPod. Oddly, they all work with the AM, FM, and CD player. I thought the tape was busted so I bought a new one and it still doesn't work, also tried friend's iPod but no luck. The front right speaker has also sounded a little off too with deeper bass sounds. Perhaps the subwoofer in that speaker is busted. Not sure if they are related or two separate issues. I have the Bose premium sound system.
Thanks for your help.

Have you ever replaced that radio? I have a 2002 a6 and the tape deck "ate" my modified tape with a cable to connect an external mp3 player. No matter what I tried it would not come out again. I ordered a new radio (reman) for 40 bucks at ECS when they were on sale - not only did it work correctly again, all the control buttons are much smoother and actually work every time. Also the bass and treble sound is much better now as well.
So in theory something else could be bad with your radio in your case - it's worth a shot if you can find a "new" radio for 50 bucks or so.
