2012 Audi A6 Car not respond to remove control
If I park the car for overnight, the car won't respond to the remove control to unlock the door. After I use the key on the driver side to unlock the car and drive it, I can then lock and unlock the car with the remote. If I park the car for a short while, the remote will work too. But after hours of parking, the car won't respond to the remote.
Any ideas?

RE-synchronising on my Audi A8 D3 4.0 2003
Just tried this RE-synchronising on my Audi A8 D3 4.0 2003
Pressed the lock and unlock button together, let go of the buttons.
put the key in the door,(without pressing any buttons) twist left, twist right.
the door opened then the hazard lights started flashing, for approx 5 mins,
then hazards just stopped and the key fob works just fine.
Thanks for the information.

Cliff-notes on my story below: Make sure you put in FRESH, NEW batteries in the key fob!
I had some serious issues with both fobs for my 2015 Q7 TDI after switching to new batteries.
First, the key kind-of worked but then not. So I googled and read the forums (including this one) and tried all the "fob clickings" and turning of key in the door and/or ignition to resync the keys but nothing worked... I tried some other batteries -- same thing, still dead. The car worked only with the key in the key fob for door & ignition. I gave up and went to the dealer...
The guy at the Audi service desk smiled and went over and got two new CR2032, put them into the keys and it both keys worked -- all the remote stuff worked. I know I put the batteries in the right way BUT I did use some CR2032 that had been in the drawer for a while. I still measured them: ~3.10V - 3.15V on all I tried so should be fine but apparently not. The service guy did say these fobs are very picky with batteries.
Anyways. Long story short: If you change batteries, make sure they are as NEW as possible before you start with any resyncing "acrobatics". It might save you some time.
Having said that: This was for a 2015 Q7 and other models might need the resync after battery change.
Thanks!
