Miss my 4.2 but 3.2 or 3.0T?
Regrettably, I sold my '07 A6 4.2 some time ago and now it's time to get a car for my wife.
I have spent the past hour reading posts and searching but want to ask:
In a 2010 or 2011 (looking to spend <$25k).
3.2 engine vs 3.0T? Go back and look for another 4.2?
Any particular worries with either provided the maintenance has been done properly?
I want to keep this car a LONG time so want the most general reliability for the long-haul.
Advice/input much appreciated.

I have a '08 A6q 3.2 and love it. My lease end came up a few months ago on a 2011 G37S and I'm quite surprised by the 3.2 performance as I drove the G37 mostly. So now I'm realizing how satisfying the Audi is.
You could probably find used 3.2 and 3.0T and compare. I think the 3.0T has about 80 more HP but I'd choose the non turbo for longevity.

The 3.0T is supercharged, not turbocharged. I would think that the supercharger would be pretty reliable but so are the Audi turbochargers when maintained properly.
I would pick the 3.0T, just not the first year. I have a 3.2 and I have had the 3.0T as a loaner and that engine is sweet.
