Default New Issues with old Audi A6.

I am trying to figure out why I am still getting the check engine light after I have replaced the O2 sensor on my A6. Had code P2096 which led me to believe that it needed to be changed. Now it is back on and the blinkers are doing some stupid crap where they won't stay blinking. I usually get one blink then....nothing. The hazards still work. I have searched this site for the answer and have discovered that the blinker thing is possibly an easy fix with the switch. But is it possible that the new check engine light was caused by this electrical problem, or are they simply coincidental. What else could the light be caused by that is related to the old one.

DTC P2096 is mostly a complaint with the downstream O2 sensor.

This may help, happy reading.
