Default Noobie Rules!

There are only a couple rules, and they are VERY simple so listen up.

1. If you have a question to ask, for the love of pete, make your own thread. Its disrespectful to the original poster, and more often than not, your question almost never relates the to the topic. If its on topic, go for it.

2. DO NOT DIG UP OLD THREADS! Someone that posted a thread 4 years ago isn't going to be around to take your input on the issue.

3. In addition to rule 2, don't ask a question on a very old thread, its most likely not going to be answered.

4. Be respectful to other members, if you disagree with what other members are telling you, (or expressing their opinions) there is no use for slander or deliberately talking trash. We are all car enthusiasts here, and we would love to help you, just don't be an ***.
Likewise, if another member is harassing you, let either myself or any other moderator/administrator know so we can take action.

5. List the year, model, engine, transmission and service history of your vehicle.

6. FOLLOW THESE DAMN RULES!!!!

I'd like to add=> please make sure to write at the beginning (or in the signature) of any post:

Definitive info on:

-Year, model, transmission, mileage...
- Service history (related to the issue or not) detailed - something as "transmission service" means a little..

The initial info could shorten the length of the discussion, attract the correct response quickly...

Wink Oil Pressure

I am new at this so please bare with me. I purchased a 2001 Audi A6 with a 2.7L engine from a private party. PROBLEM: NO owners or maintenance manuals. What is the correct oil pressure for this animal?

Thanks. I think I posted to an older thread, but not sure how old it was. I'm glad this forum is here, and that there are moderators who are active.

I am new as well. I don't mean to be immediately disparaging, but.... why are the forums for the A6 not delineated down to C5, C6, C7 platforms? It's MUCH to broad of a forum area for A6/S6/RS6 owners IMO
