Oil Change intervals?
Sorry guys if its here, I looked and could not come up with the answer using the search function. So ill ask.
What type oil, and how often and what type filter. Id like to do this the right way and not cut corners.

Thanks so much!

Least expensive name brand 10-40 oil I can find - Mann filter only - every 10 K miles
I drive 100 miles a day so the moisture is driven out of the oil.
If you drive less, you should stick to the 4-5K interval.
If you do only short drives you should change it every 2-3 K miles
Before the **** Audi guys begin, I'll tell you that I got over 350K out of an 89 200QT before giving up due to numerous problems - none oil or motor related - and have over 240K on my 97 A6 that uses a quart in 5K miles - In fact -when it needs the second quart I change the oil instead of adding more.
The general rule is that people either change their oil too soon and waste money or forget to change it all together.

Also depends on weather, type of driving, and what type of oil was used in the past...
But without getting complicated, my choice is 5W-40 synthetic. about 4K between changes. Some people find that a little excessive but I am meticulous, aka ****.
Stay away from Fram filters. Use Mann, Wix or reputable brands.
