I have a 98 2.8 with 112k. CEL light came on and got the 18032 and 16795 codes. I think these are definetely related to the secondary air injector. Where I live I do not have to go through an emission tests for to pass inspection, is it possible to bypass the secondary air injector and to somehow make the CEL light go out? Can I remove the secondart air injector all together and not have to worry about it?

 

P0411 Secondary Air injection system incorrect flow detected.
P1624 isn't on my DTC chart, i don't recognize that fault code either.
As for the secondary air fault check your vaccum lines to your combi valve on the back of each cylinder head. Check plastic lines coming from the secondary air pump for cracks, if no problems replace the secondary air pump. You will fail emmisions with this fault code, you cannot by-pass the fault code.
Changing one thing will create a different fault code in its place.
