Please help with rim selections
I recently got my 2002 Audi A6, and im looking forward to some personalization, starting with the rims, all i am asking if for an expert to tell me if some audi S6 rims will fit in to the 2002 audi A6, i have looked for the answer in the forums without luck.
the expecifications for the new rims in question:
http://www.finishlinewheels.com/spec...18x8%29+Black/
18 x 8 with bolt pattern 5 x 112, but no offset given, and if they fit, what tire size is the appropiate for them on the A6, thanks!!

A6/S6 rims
Audi usually uses the same bolt pattern on their models, especially in the same line such as A6 and S6. You would need to contact your local Audi dealer with the wheel OEM part #s and they can give you the bolt patterns.
You should try the site I ordered my wheels from, they have really great prices and are very helpful. They can also provide you with OEM part #s for each wheel if you call them and ask. Heres the site:
Parts - TheAutoPartsShop
Hope this helps

It helps to know what you have on your car right now, but in looking up choices used on your 02 A6 either 17 or 18 inch wheels would have an offset of 43-45mm. A factory B7 RS4 rim that I see in my listing for wheel size 8x18 shows an offset of 29mm. The Audi p/n for the rim I just gave you the specs on is 8E0601025AJ1H7. I think you should take this info and call that wheel company to check that offset against what their wheel is. The other thing I noticed is that wheel from Audi is 629.30 per wheel, and that website you have is 4 wheels at 599.00 dollars. I don't think their wheels are OEM Audi, they are probably OEM clones. I'm not trying to talk you in or out of anything, but your should know what you are buying. This offset information should help you make sure you get a wheel that fits too.

I found those rims but in size 8.5x19 with offset 48. I wish my listings would let me look by rim size, but I have to look at the different series A4-A5-A6-A7-A8 TT etc, and then click wheels and check sizes. So it takes a while and unless I missed it, I don't see that wheel in that size and offset. Can you get the part number off the back of those rims in your picture?
As to fitment, I'm no expert on this, but you'll be going from 16's to 19's, much taller, and one inch wider so that is tough to say if it will fit or not. I'd be willing to bet it would have interference from tire to wheel liner or maybe elsewhere else at some point towards hitting the bump stops on the steering system.
If those rims are from a 2012 A6, which I did check, that car changed the bore size of the rim. It's good you measured that too.
Here is some fitment issues we did find with the wheels from new vehicles. When trying to fit our customers winter tire and rims from 2009 and older cars to their new vehicles we found:
2010 and newer A8, 2012 and newer A6 cars have larger center hubs. So older wheels won't fit since their center bores are too small. But you can use those newer wheels on older cars only if you can find the concentric hub to fit inside to center it up. We also found 2009 and newer A4's have larger hubs also.

The wheel sizes along with correct oxygen sensors are driving me crazy! I am looking at the same wheels, except 18x8. My question is no one seems to have an exact 18 fit for my 2000 A6 2.8 Quattro and no one has the rear oxygen sensors. Is the 2000 A6 Quattro different from all the rest? Wow.... Oh and thanks all!

i dont know how oxygen sensors have to do with what im trying to find out, but i just changed my oxygen sensors for my A6 too and what i ended up doing was using Bosch 15733 to replaced the rear oxygen sensor, its still bosch and its way cheaper, just becuase it doesnt have the OEM plug, ($56) the OEM part number for the rear right is 078906265G and the rear left is 078906265F both could be interchanged with the Bosch 15733 that i mention, no problem at all, easy fix.
