Revisiting 96 A6 Banging trans issue
Hi all,
Dragged the 96 A6 out of storage for winter driving, but winter has yet to arrive in the Chicago area. I want to solve this issue to make this a pleasant auto to drive:
Had trans rebuilt. Rebuild is working OK, but trans is now slamming gears. Suggestions have been that the computer connector under the passenger side carpet has a connector with corrosion. Questions are:
*How to remove this computer for inspection. Cut carpet (I hope not)
*What connections on the trans itself should I inspect? Perhaps there is a bad connection after the rebuild???
