smoking exhaust, DPF removed A6 2.0tdi 2009
The DPF has been removed from the car and its be remapped to take account of this.
When it went in the engine management light was on and it did not smoke out the exhaust.
After the work was done the (approx 1 week later) the exhaust started to smoke intermitantly (grey smoke , smells of fuel).
Took it back to the garage and they checked the remap etc and could not find a fault.
Got it back and a few days later it started again so I left it at the garage for a second time and they can not find anything wrong with it.
I assume the software gets reset during the tests, 3-4 days later the exhaust starts smoking again. This time the engine management light came on (error code is P2002) and the exhaust did not smoke. I used the car with the light on and it eventually started smoking about 100 miles after the light came on.
Anyone had similar problems?
I am going to try a different garage
