So only had the car a few months and I see the word "Service" on the center display (between speedo & tach). I changed the oil myself about a 6 weeks ago. Is the car set to show these at certain milage intervals?

 

yes, the instrument cluster has a service interval display that activates every 365 days or 15,000km (or what ever that is in miles) find a shop/friend with a vagcom and it can be reset for you, or you can live with it but it would **** me off

 

Well that not quiet make sense. Because I had the same message about 2 months ago and had the dealership reset it. Any thing else set it off?
BTW--Vagcom in on my list to get.

 

It goes off every 5,000 miles in the US.

 

Dang, guess I need to check my mileage since I took it to the dealer. LOL
I'd swear it hasn't been 5k yet, but I bet it has been then.
