Default Switch location??

Checking over my car and the foot well and door lights do not come on when the door is opened on the driver side. The bulbs are good and there is power at the light sockets. Anyone know where the door switch is that grounds the lights? All the other doors work as they should. Thanks

Pretty common problem, hard to fix though. It's actually in the latch mechanism, check out http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec96.shtml

Thanks, I guess I get to tear the door apart. It is not a very old car and it is from California so hopefully it is just a loose/dirty connection.......
