I just bought a 99 A6 Quattro Avant about 3 weeks ago and just want someone wo confirm a hunch before i order any parts. The car began running rough about 2 days ago(idle is a little rough while in gear and stopped). All the trans lights on the dash have a red background behind them and the car shifts a little hard. I scanned the codes and came up with p0411 (so i changed changed all vaccum hoses) and p1626. I checked all the connections to the transmission and solenoids and on a hunch dug up and opened up the tcu to take a look inside. The 5th pin from the right in the back row that attaches to the harness area is corroded and missing part of it. The car is an auto and will shift R & 1-4 while in D and refuse to go into overdrive. It will also buck slightly while off the gas and slowing down. I only drove it for about 1 mile in this condition just to attempt to diagnose it. Do those conditions sound like they would be from the TCU being bad?
