Default Timing issue

Im trying to correct a timing issue i caused during my timing belt, WP, and Therm job. My understanding from the codes Im getting which are all misfires on the passenger side bank, which makes sense because i think that side rotated freely and had to be moved back to what i thought was where it was originally. So now im killing two birds with one stone by doing the valve cover gaskets on both sides, and also correcting the timing on the passenger side. Im doing this by setting the crank at TDC first with the locking pin. Then locking the camshafts, for the time being, while i take the timing belt off. Take the valve covers off and loosen the cam chain to reset the camshaft to its timing marks... ( is that possible? )
any feedback would be appreciated.

Don't bother with the cam chain and leave it alone. You will mess it up some more. Make sure to get a cam lock bar and loosen the cam sprocket before tensioning the belt.
