I have a 2002 A6 3.0 that was just diagnosed by the dealership with a faulty TCM. After doing some research, I found a technical service bulletin from Feb 2010, about low voltage from the headlights causing a failure of the diagnosis signal of the gear lever circuit board in the TCM. I just had the headlight harness worked on due to the recall for the headlight harness. I am wondering if there may a correlation to the recall headlight harness replacement, to a failure in the TCM. Dealership says no, but I am skeptical. There were no transmission problems before the harness was changed, then within a month the TCM fails. Has anyone else come across this TSB or problem before?

I would find an independent Audi service center to do the repair. I don't trust the stealer mechanics much. not that there isn't a good one here or there but you have better odds of winning the lottery than find one.
