Default The trick of the vanishishing oil

Hey all, I have a 2000 Audi A6 2.7t. A few months back I checked my oil dip stick and it was bone dry. I thought the oil had leaked out but it didnt. I drained the oil, replaced it and after about 2 times of pushing the dip stick in it comes up as being empty. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Are you putting enough in? You need almost 8 quarts!

You know it takes like 7.5 quarts right? Also, if you live where it's cold, the PCV valve can freeze up and it'll burn oil until it's warms up enought to thaw out.

actually I moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands , so it's actually pretty warm, I already put in about five and a half bottles so I'll try 1 more(dnt want to put in to much). At this rate shouldn't I stilll at least see something on the dipstick when it had in five and a half bottles
